WINTER BLUES

By 12th January 2016December 9th, 2019No Comments

Be gone, be gone, you snow-swept storm
And bring back days serene and warm
I do not like the Winter, bleak
And cloudy breath each time I speak
The freezing wind that numbs my toes
And chills my cheeks and runny nose
Though children revel in the snow
I’m more like Scrooge each day I know
Bring back that sunshine, rainless days
With rolling hills on which to gaze
The wind should be a cooling breeze
That gently stirs the garden trees
So yes, be gone, you snow-swept storm
And bring back days serene and warm
