War Poem

There has been two world wars in which Britain has fought,
Many of the men who fought were caught.
We were fighting off Germany for our lives,
Some men came home to see their wives,
Some men didn’t come home because they died,
No doubt their families would have cried.

Planes fly through the skies,
Dropping bombs huge in size.
One man dies as quick as lightening,
Other men thought it was very frightening.

Tanks are kings of the ground,
Making horror wherever found.
At last the World Wars came to an end,
No longer does Britain need to defend.
