“Show the Door”

If perfidy pervades a trusting heart
Should we in turn react with vengeful ploy
Or stay such retribution to impart
Lest traits insidious preclude all joy
Known consequence hath forced protective fear
Encompassing the pain one feels inside
By holding friends and foe alike so dear
Betrayal haunts the realm which I provide
To give of one’s own self may prove remiss
Encouraging intrusion of sad aim
Yet still I sally forth in helpless bliss
Rejoicing in the fact, I’m not to blame
Please welcome to my world if thee comply
Should hurt be thy domain, I kiss goodbye
