Shadow Dancer

No privacy allowed by you, no secrets left unshared
No embellishment of stories told, as if you haven’t heard
No comments made within your shade, for you that just won’t do
Opinions outlined to exact a different point of view

You waltz through my existence, in twinkle-toed relief
In silhouetted form with no footprints underneath
Are you just sent to haunt me, did I cross you long ago
In tapping feet to my heart’s beat, you keep in step just so

Cloudy skies allow respite, from your figure cloaked in grey
Yet as the new dawn beckons you’re always back to stay
At Noon you are diminished, yet erased you cannot be
Dear Lord above give him the shove, I know you walk with me
