These people go off and leave your life
to do a tour for queen and country
but will anyone know the heartbreak it brings
all the worry day and night waiting
for a call that will make it right
just a message to know they are ok.

you watch the news whenever you can
just to make sure there’s no incident reported
no soldiers killed or injured today,
we pray at night like never before
‘God bring them home safe from this senseless war ‘
thats all we ask we will ask no more .
