REMEMBRANCE DAY POEM

Again we meet to remember comrades lost along the way
Some from a century ago and some from only yesterday
Today they are in our hearts, our minds and in our thoughts
United we stand beside them and salute the peace they brought.

We owe them our freedom, our nation, standards and ideals
Their loss is forever tragic with wounds difficult to heal
It is our duty to march forward with heads held high with pride
Our heroes past and present, we will for ever walk by their side.

Our comrades fell in action that we could live free and safe
That we can walk proudly in our land, the home of the brave
Many of our modern heroes have been injured in lands far away
We wish them well, praise and thanks on this Remembrance Day.
