Remember Them

The bricks are stacked
It’s a stone cold wall,
It rises up high
Never to fall,
It’s a memory of the past
A symbol for the future,
It’s more than a wall
It’s a feeling that’s mutual,
It stands up proud
Tall and so vast,
Like the men it was built for,
A monument to last.

The poppies are laid
The prayers are said,
We’ll remember our heroes
The brave and the dead,
The Soldiers, the Sailors
And the Air Force Crew,
The cenotaph stands
As a memorial to you.
