Remember Them

This poem is for the countless souls
Whose fate was signed and sealed
By one abhorrentmadman And his minions in the field

Their misery and torture
Where death was their relief
What men can do to other men
Is so beyond belief

Women, men and children
No mercy were they shown
Their captors were inhuman
With hearts as cold as stone

One can never understand
Those deadly, dreadful deeds
Of dire consequences
That one man’s madness breeds

Many years have passed since then
The memories linger yet
Those haunting, broken images
We never shall forget

So rest in peace you millions
Who died by Hitler’s hand
The memories of your ordeal
Live on in every land
