Pool

where will you be, as my eyes close?
warm sea,take me in.
bubbles, how long are your lifespans?
do you live forever?

i’m not of a body,
theres none of me left,
i go for a swim in pools of my tears
and then relax as i’m caught in a net.

washed onto shore it’s cool and alive,
i play with the figures i can see in the sky,
patterns on my retina dance as i blink,
there are descending circles and translucent lines.

lets play on the grass,
shapeless forms pass,
whispers wither by
and my eyes grow heavy.

no sun or satellite to wave goodbye.
im submerged. outline.
