“Only when you drink from the river of silence, shall you indeed sing”

No utterance hath preyed upon these lips
No verbal slant suppressed to cause one pain
No words misused e’er spill between the sips
As muted thoughts doth flow in sealed domain
Lest all who hear the silence of my mind
Conclude that not forthcoming is the norm
May press with their intentions, deemed unkind
In truth, misunderstanding leaves forlorn
When inspiration calls for me to spout
Pronouncing worthwhile sentiments writ large
Such stillness held within proceeds without
For contemplation helps my soul recharge
Should lilting phrase then carry words profound
More weight may add whilst never making sound
