OLD FRIENDS

By 6th November 2006December 9th, 2019No Comments

Life is just a fleeting glance
that passes all too quick,
we either know great happiness
or just a little chink.

Growing old has been no fun
our laughter turned to tears,
we moan as we watch the sun
set on our passing years.

But friendship is a thing we know
for just a little while,
may we meet again some day
when we have learned to smile.
