“Make your Mark”

Cacophony of sound assaults mine ears
When e’er our leaders vie to hog limelight
No manners they display with hurtful smears
By pressing home their party line, through slight
In ‘power play’ with thoughts of each opined
Tho points are scored (not one will count as such)
Twixt babbling jousts and sword play most unkind
Electorate engage (but not too much)
Yet notwithstanding fierce and planned debate
Tis apathy encompasses our land
Whilst each vote counts determining our fate
Of this at least, we all do understand
So make your mark and uphold freedom’s choice
A chance for ‘them that spout’ to hear our voice
