In the footsteps of our Father’s

Standing in the shadows of were our forefathers once stood.
Patrolling in the rain, and living in the mud.

Standing in the shadow of were our forefathers once stood
Writing our own history but the ink becomes our blood.

Standing in the shadows of were our forefathers once stood.
On the dessert plain we feel their pain, and all is understood.

Don’t follow in our footsteps, don’t step were we have trod.
Kneel down say your prayers and face towards your god.

Koran, Talmud, Bible who cares which book you read.
Learn to read together, or our sons continue to bleed.

Standing in the shadows of were our forefathers stood,
Sinking to our knees, in our brother’s blood.

Because of different books, supposed to make us good.
