I’M SORRY

I feel sorry for you.

For the horrors,
That you’ve seen.
For the way your mind,
Has ceased to cope.

I feel sorry for your wife.

For the terror,
That you feel.
For the inability,
To know.

I feel sorry for your children.

Who don’t know,
What is a shadow?
And what is really,
Real.

I feel sorry for the dead.

Their families
Left alone.
No last kiss,
He’s not coming home.

I feel sorry for the maimed.

Those scarred,
The blind.
The limbless,
The not so clear in mind

Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Praise God.
Give thanks.
For whatever the Hell.
You’re alive.
