I’m Done!

I’m done
Listening to your excuses
I’m done
Pretending you can stand alone
I’m done
Your words are worthless
I’m done
Hoping from this you will grow
I’m sorry
You fell and couldn’t get up
I’m sorry
Guilt controls all that you are
I’m sorry
You wear a mask of happiness
I’m sorry
You search for pity with every scar
You’re finding
I will not pity those empty wounds
You’re finding
I’ll turn my back and walk away
You’re finding
I tried to be the one to comfort you
You’re finding
I’ve dropped my arms and let you stray
I know
This truth is not wrapped in bows
I know
The punishment is creeping
I know
You mourn your sorrows and your woes
I know
As you cry I now lay sleeping
Listen
To those cries
Of self pity, greed and lies
Listen
To your self
Same story
Same demise
Are you hearing your own echoes?
