Half a life

By 2nd July 2012December 9th, 2019No Comments

I’m half a man
living half a life
Existing not feeling
Breathing by reflex
Afraid to remember
My memory’s pain
Alcohol stops that
For a time anyway
Don’t want to sleep
I fear to dream
Waking up’s even worse
Each day a nightmare
That won’t go away
But one half’s still a man
So I’ll just carry on
Being half a man
Living half a life
Until I find
My lost half
