God grant me a wish

If God could grant me a wish
No matter what it would be
I’d like to bottle the hugs
My granddaughter gives to me

I know it sounds very silly
Some people might even frown
But think of the joy it would bring
If ever I was feeling down

Take the cork off the bottle
And let a hug fill the air
Now that would really be something
Almost as if she was there

The love of a child is so precious
Makes you feel warm deep down inside
God would understand this, and
My wish would not be denied
