FAR FROM HOME

Please donate a gift for our troops abroad,
Just something small…something you can afford.
A comb, or toothbrush, or bar of soap,
To boost morale, and offer some hope.

Marooned at Christmas, far from home,
In a war torn battle zone;
No home comforts, close to touch,
The smallest gesture can mean so much.

Donations can be offered at shopping parades,
Or participating stores in large arcades;
We thank the men for all they’ve done,
With their dedication, their battle will soon be won.

Their families wait anxiously for their return,
Out of sight gives many reasons for concern;
Everyone of them has done his bit,
Please reward them with your Christmas gift.
