Embattled Dreams

In a world of constant warlike schemes
Thoughts compress into satanic dreams
Childlike obstacles barring the way
Causes more strife each coming new day.

Thoughtless jibes and arguments wear
Then fabric slowly begins to tear
Jericho’s walls will soon tumble down
And love’s smile replaced with a frown.

Selfish right then suffocates true love
Bitter dragon soon replaces the dove
Knives drawn, as each names the first sin
Arguments; neither the one can win.

Each strike to the wall removes a stone
Base of that structure begins to groan
When constant blows beginning to fall
Means the destruction, of true love’s wall.
