Crystal tears

As the proud soldiers walked by,
Crystal tears flowed down the rosy cheeks of families,
They bid their loving farewells incase they lost a son,
By the shore the soldiers left their families behind.

On the battle field, we saw our brothers-in-arm drop dead,
Thick, dark, dreadful smoke throttled the no-mans-land ,
Paralysed with fear, soldiers whispered goodbye to the world.

Finally the day had came,
Gun shots stopped, the last bombs were dropped,
We had survived,
The deafening sound broke, this tragic War had ended
