Crooked Circle

Dark shadows give way
To a brand new day
And the nights plight
Is drowned by the light
The face wears a smile
When all the while
The turmoil inside
Has opened wide
The abyss of tears
For all of those years
Never to recapture
Loves amazing rapture
Shining at such height
Alas to end as a blight
Upon the hearts land
A golden wedding band
