Chorus of Dawn

Though morning comes with sorrows
The heart finds hard to bear
Grey clouds may clear tomorrow
To free us from despair.
Yesterday’s, another country
And the borders are now closed
And what the future brings us
No-one, truly, knows.
Tears were shed when we were born
We heard the chorus of the dawn
There were beauties there at every step
The sky would ever lovelier get.
We walked a long, meandering path
And, then, we found true peace at last.
