Anthems

In the Press today I was reading how,
To the USA we seem to ‘Cow Tow’.
Our Nation the World, they used to call ‘Great’,
Has now become the ‘51st State’.

A Nuclear Deterrent we cannot use,
Unless we ask Bush, to light the fuse.
Eurofighter on sale, We’ll sell to the Saudis,
Yet we look to buy planes with American Howdy’s.

But when we have bought it, how do we fix it?
The American codes to them stay Top Secret.
So open your eyes to what’s going on
Or you’ll soon be singing a new National song.

Not one that’s about Tradition and Manner,
But sounds more like,
‘The Star Spangled Banner’.
