‘An Angel Tends Yon Meadow’

Much more than love enfolds your heart this night
Tis “Blood from Blood” once nurtured in thy womb
Such pain then borne adds strength one needs to fight
When thread of life was weaved on steadfast loom
Tho undeserving, none can know their fate
As revelation forms before our eyes
Thru story told we can perchance relate
Where tapestry’s laid out in sweet surprise
Twud seem (if call pre-empts allotted span)
All chosen have been Blest beyond what’s fair
Whilst we do soldier on as best we can
Reward for them fulfils each hopeful Prayer
That I reside upon this Earth with thee
Gives glimpse of what existence may yet be
