A Soldier Far From Home

Fighting on a foreign shore so far away from home.
Fighting for a nation, yet they can not call it home.
They will let you spill your blood to help ‘ land of the free’
But to live in their Great Kingdom they will charge a hefty fee.

From a tribal Island nation
They stand as soldiers proud
Along side Scots and Englishmen
And those warriors from Nepal.

This Great Kingdom needs their strength upon the battle field
Lets face it, we could use them too upon the rugby field
Your Majesty please welcome them to your Great Island’s fold
And grant them a free passport
That book embossed with gold.
