A Christmas Song

Winter fires burning brightly
Snow flakes softly falling
Children singing Christmas songs
Hearing Santa calling

Chorus
All good children time for bed
Rest your weary eyes
For tomorrow Santa comes
You’re in for a big surprise

Smell the golden turkey roasting
Food laid out before us
Table set and glasses sparkling
Smiling faces full of trust

Chorus
All good children time for bed
Rest your weary eyes
For tomorrow Santa comes
You’re in for a big surprise

In the dim candle light
A tear runs down my face
Thoughts of happiness years ago
But in a different place,

Chorus
All good children time for bed
Rest your weary eyes
For tomorrow Santa comes
You’re in for a big surprise

Presents now eagerly opened,
Tired faces barely lingering
We Cuddle up warm together
The firelight slowly dwindling

Chorus
All good children time for bed
Rest your weary eyes
For tomorrow Santa comes
You’re in for a big surprise
