Turning to grey

No-one to listen
No-one to hear
No-one to burden
My nightmares and fear

I suffer alone
In silence I stand
Like others around me
In this selfish land

To whom do I turn
When I breakdown
Nobody cares
I’m left on my own

The darkness is back
I long to be free
Why isn’t anyone
Listening to me

There’s no hope I’m lost
The thoughts in my head
Will anyone miss me?
I’m better off dead

I think I’ll be missed
By my beautiful sons
They’re the only thing
Stopping me getting it done

I’ll hold off for now
For just one more day
As the sky that was black
Is turning to grey
