Tribute to the Royal Air Force

by | Mar 2, 2009 | Poetry | 0 comments

The Royal Air Force known for their generosity, in old times daredevil kills;
But let’s not forget their reputation and world-renowned drinking skills.
In all four corners of the world, every breakroom & mess; each surviving man recalls
The drinking contests they lost against those famous professionals.

In Decci, in the desert, Germany, Iraq, Cyprus & Afghanistan,
The Royal Air Force can win every bout to the very last man.
Against their NATO counterparts the only ones to come near
Are the Canadians – well their blood also runs with British Beer!

So it’s great to see that traditions are still carried on –
And that here’s no exception at dear old Waddington.
