To Run With The Hare…

By 30th October 2017 December 9th, 2019 No Comments

Those wrens that dart there by the tree
Could there some deeper meaning be?
An allusion that of some truth might seek
Of some profound emotion speak.
You think that fewer words would do
(Was this composed for me, not you.)
And, then, again the Muse might come
And off once more the hare will run.
That with its speed its loping gait-
Some spark of genius might await.
And, then, a pause- ‘A halt to this!’
‘Good luck, God bless.’-a hurried X.
