“The Grass Is Always Greener on the Other Side of Life”

by | Jan 8, 2013 | Poetry | 0 comments

To known existence, I make last request
As mortal span appears to be, no more
Much time to ponder, now laid down to rest
Yet from beyond the grave I do implore
Embrace the joys of life on other side
Seek out the Sun before it comes to pass
Thou join me in repose and here reside
In measured plots of earth ‘neath green of grass
When dawn doth break, bask in the warmth it brings
Delight in all revealed by light of day
A newborn’s smile which pulls at your heart strings
Dear Grandpapa who has so much to say
‘Tis knowing fleeting moments such as these
Which prompts my hope in Heavenly reprise
