THE DAY OF THE 11TH REMEMBRANCE

Lives are relived
It’s the day of the 11th,
It’s time to remember
A time in the past,
For some It’s fond memories,
The coming together;
A comradeship
That will always last,
For others It’s painful
To remember those years,
And the lives that we lost,
In the wars of the past.

In thousands they parade in unity,
Many will walk
For the many not there,
Wearing there poppies
and wreaths laid down,
First a prayer!
A saluting hand,
Then one minutes silence
All over the land,
It’s a day we will always remember,
The lives that we lost
In the wars of the past.
