The Choice

Now god has chosen, and we accept,
Yet both our eyes and heart still weep,
Heads are bowed, and hands on hearts,
And you are in deep twilight sleep.

For they say god only takes the best,
And this is why he has chosen you,
Yet even now, how much we miss you,
If only we could just tell you.

For you closed your eyes, and now you rest,
And your work here is complete and done,
And let the angels prepare your ascent,
For you are heavens chosen one.

“A thought for all those whom remember a loved one, because some words can never be enough”
