Sustain my Faith” (I Pray)

To share thy burden is no more than due
When facing Man’s uncaring soul this day
Within my heart each step I take anew
In silence (tho tis hoped your pain convey)
So many times I’ve turned the other cheek
Whilst praying for such strength I wouldst implore
“Sustain my Faith, give credence to the meek”
In truth I know that thou couldst ne’er ignore
As tears are spilled (I tremble, taking aim)
Your message once more lost on those engaged
By piercing flesh, what can one hope to gain
Doth leave a body lost and foe enraged
Forgiveness is the word preceding peace
(Such Sacrifice embraced, for sins to cease)
