Summer Reflection

The balmy season is upon us…
And we savour the warmth of an old and welcomed friend.
How we have long sought your presence
When beleaguered by the onslaught of winter.
Our garniture is festooned with all that is dynamic and vibrant,
And we are spoiled in the abundance of growth and colour.
We are where nature intended us to be…
For even though we are aware that such things do not last
We relieve ourselves of concerns of what will be lost…
For we have no loss today…
Not when we are in the thrall of glory and majesty…
Not when we are invested with the sophistication of the fullness of life.
