“Stone Me; Rosetta’s Smashed”

Tis journey’s end for one who’s travelled far
Across the dark expanse, whilst shedding light
On origins of life ‘neath yonder star
Now solar power wanes, condemning flight
As Mother ship descends with open arms
Embracing ‘Philae’ offspring (once hath flown)
Perchance midst strains of lullaby by Brahms
Will go to sleep (as one) forever prone
As watching World looks on at final throes
We hang on Comet’s tail midst last goodbye
A twelve year span results in iced repose
Preserved thru cryogenics by and by
Unravelled of her Hieroglyphic text
Just proved to leave Rosetta quite perplexed
