Sting of death

The warm sun rays now gently fall,
To dry away my passion tears.
They soften still my sorrows all,
And chase away my deepest fears.

Warmth of sun brings happiness true,
My inner self is soon near peace,
When all the memories of you,
Permit my joy to then release.

The walks together in the rain,
With laughter over silly things,
Then the parting; then the pain,
The loneliness that ending brings.

This said; the bitter sting of death
Is never felt with final breath.
