Still Waters

Rejoicing at the thought of thee nearby
In longed for acquiescence to my plea
When couched in contemplative actions, I
Perchanced that thee in kind couldst think of me
If not upon my gaze thy face to dwell
Still waters running deep I do propose
Yon’ distant waves doth crash in heaving swell
Yet in some chambers depth an ember glows
Come hither from that far and distant shore
Here stand within my range of influence
Replete with all I’ve dreamed and so much more
Rein in my heart of rhythmic consequence
For if unbridled love dare show its face
Wouldst thee in turn reciprocate embrace
