Spring Reflection

The promise of warmth is nigh
As the coldness departs under the onslaught of the extending light.
Winter could not hold its icy grip
When the residual warmth shattered the frosty coils.
Confidence and security is born anew,
And colour begins to bedeck the mortal mantle.
Nature has run its course…
Informed that it gives and it takes away.
What is given is lost …
What is lost is gained.
This must be inevitably so…
Lest there is stagnation into a lingering existence.
