Signalman Didsbury

Paul was a Soldier who was dedicated and strong,
He was honest and true to the unit he belonged,
To all his palls Did’s was his name,
He loved all sport but rugby was his game,

Did’s the Soldier is now laid to rest,
He gave his oath to his country,
He gave his life, he gave his best,
A sombre day when the flag was lowered,
All heads were bowed,
His brother’s honour and salute him, standing proud,

We’ll always remember Signalman Didsbury from this day on,
A Soldier, A Son,
A friend and comrade,
Sadly missed but never gone.
