I’m unemployed and unimpressed,
It isn’t worth me getting dressed.
Nobody wants to pay a wage
To someone who has reached my age.
Yet I apply for lots of jobs
To satisfy the Nation’s Nobs
That I am doing all I can
To try to be a working man.
They send me out on restart schemes,
Which to the general public seems
That Government has done its bit
To get me off of benefit.
But sending people to retrain
Just so that they can fail again
Shows that the Country’s lost its way.
Perhaps I’ll stay in bed today!
