Reminiscing

As we sit here reminiscing, light fading fast,
We see warped images of a countries tormented past,
Feelings of guilt engulfing our calm,
Who has created this destruction and harm?,
Our souls feels unrestful, Our spirits are shattered,
A mans life has ended, The debris has scattered,
An impacts been made on all who remain,
Why were you taken so soon ? What did they gain ?
You may be at peace but the rest of us suffer,
Are they trying to break us or just make us tougher?
Questions unanswered and loose ends untied,
The wheels stopped turning the day soldiers died.
