Prayers on the Mountains.

The sun sets on us that are left,
As we stand upon the jagged cleft,
The forlorn tears trickle down our cheeks,
As their spirits rise past the towering peaks.

We wish all those that have been before,
That have fallen in the times of war,
To be remembered in the buglers tune,
As we watch in the late afternoon,

As the wind blows through our hair,
We offer you a silent prayer,
We hope you are finally at peace,
And hope the war you fought will cease.

So good bye to you my daughter, my son,
Now that your lives are undone,
Goodbye to my husband and to my wife,
I hope we meet again in the after life.
