POEM ON THE WALL

Sheffield City, well known to us all
Now it is famous, for a poem the wall

This City of steel now sounds quite perverse
New glamour is brought, by this skyline of verse

Will simple folk like me, with time?
Wonder why the poem don’t rhyme

Leaving school, with simple maths and stuff
But English lit’ was not enough

No Teacher took me by the Hand
This clever work to understand

My words and grammar you must vet
As you see I’m no Poet laureate
