Our Nation’s Soul

by | Jan 1, 2006 | Poetry | 0 comments

Under our sparkling red white blue
We flag our hearts as strong and true
Our national pride grows, never falters
When attacked by demon doubters

Our twin towers are faith and strength
From our soul terror cannot wrench
Our love of peace will be protected
All violators are rejected

Because god loves humanity
Living in liberty
Our spirit forever freed
Constitution guaranteed

Long live democracy
Down with autocracy
Freedom and respect for all
Was George Washington’s call

And this is our nation’s soul
