Only the meek

Let us look at the world in lemon grass blue
Ignoring lies when our false leader speaks true
Whilst led by the hand onto paths of blood red
We blame our ignorance on seeing the dead.

What is the orange sand covered in blood?
Vile puce of the stalwart braves lying in mud
See white pale of the heart folk grieving lost kin
False faces of warlords are guilty with sin.

Yellow is nerve gas, killing adults and child
Blue red are the innocent eyes staring wild
Colours of rainbows are weapons of mass death
Blood crimson ochre of child’s rasping last breath.

Brown is Lord’s bible, not quite written in truth
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth
Yet when you are struck, so turn the other cheek
Earth then inherited by only the meek.
