Offshore Nap

In drifting off on tides of thought (what bliss)
My raft of dreams encumbered by design
Tho’ seeking out horizon proved remiss
As overboard I’m tossed from time to time
When e’er I try to kiss the world goodbye
Resulting in propensity to yen
Tis then I hear the crashing waves nearby
Sweet slumber, interrupted once again
Perchance if feeling sand beneath my feet
By strolling hand in hand upon the shore
Wouldst be as if returning with the fleet
Engaging in reality once more
Should pref’rence be, as in long distance kept
Twould be a ‘Blessing’ if this once I slept
