NUNC DIMITIS

Here, let me sleep.
Quiet, in this place of peace and memory.
Here let me rest.
Free from the pain, the fear, the sympathy.

I shall rest quietly here,
For I have lived my life.
So short a time, blessed in so many ways.
Now, as I sleep, remember happy days.

Plant here a tree.
And when it comes to leaf
Share in its joy – my joy.
Let peace replace your grief.
