Nothing But The Truth

Repealing falsehoods as laid down in law
Firm legislation of a kind, unkind
Which penalise allowing no withdraw
Where outcomes justice seems to lag behind
E’en innocence is tainted by such trial
As twelve good men determine truth as told
Resulting in conclusion now on file
Forever held until this world turns cold
False punishment doth scream out as unfair
In showing of miscarriage deemed awry
Should redress be an option we concur
If evidence avails to prove the lie
‘Tis ‘Judgement Day’ when all will be revealed
By stating oath on ‘Book’ with nought concealed
