If heart doth rule ain heid, shouldst then submit?
Embrace the ride whit e’er oor senses say
Or else take stock, afore we cause tae split
Step back, consider implications;……… weigh
All options serve tae complicate known choice
Where each somehow seems justified by right
O’ history an present, both gie voice
Tae ‘Aye’ an ‘Nay’ campaigns who may lose sight
Midst fierce debate, recriminations vent
Tho’ held in check by Brotherly respect
Said end ae Union may in dirge, lament
Fur years tae come by loss o’ such connect
Ye cannae know the future, that’s fur sure
Yet some lay claim tae such as they implore
