My Poppy

By 10th November 2016December 9th, 2019No Comments

My poppy I wear with pride.
Please don’t try and make it about politics or religion.

This is why I wear with pride.
Poppies are red for all the blood that is spilled on the battlefields.
Poppies have green leaves to represent the grass where all the fallen are buried.
Poppies have a black centre to show out grief for them.

But take a look at a real poppy and there is another colour and that is yellow
This represents the light at the end of the tunnel even in the darkest times.
This is why I wear MY POPPY with pride
